De inkleuring geeft per pixel van 5m*5m de grootte van het afstroomgebied naar de pixel weer (in ha). Het berekeningsalgoritme leidt al het afstromend water die toekomt in een pixel naar de laagst gelegen omliggende pixel (Single Flow Direction). Hierdoor ontstaan geconcentreerde, duidelijk afgelijnde afstromingslijnen die de locaties in het landschap weergeeft met de meeste kans op afstroming. De afstromingskaart is gebaseerd op het digitaal hoogte model en de Vlaamse Hydrografische Atlas.
